Incredibly beautiful hotel with accommodating employees at the reception desk Good swimming pool area and satisfactory breakfast with hot waffles and a massive veriety, for example. Stunning location close to harbor. Close enough to taxis, trucks, and the town centre.

It was the only place I could find online in Angra dos Reis with vacancies for a night over the busy Easter period. We moved on after one night.
This hotel is just nothing special. If it was half the price, it'd be okay. But for a premium price, it under-performs massively. The accommodation blocks feel more like a prison layout; the rooms are dated, breakfast was okay but not much for the money; pool had litter lying around it and wasn't open in the morning when it was supposed to be.

The view from our balcony was amazing, especially the
Sunsets over the bay. We loved the spacious family suite and the lovely breakfast buffet. We wished for more dining options nearby, as we had to walk a bit to find varied restaurants.

Very very good breakfast selection for all tastes with a massive veriety to choose from and hot waffles, as for instance.

Booked 9 nights, stayed 4 nights. That I liked best. No advertising for Golden Tulip.
Dirty restaurant, all birdshit on the chairs. Birds where flying in the restaurant. Smoking staff behind the poolbar. Poolboy allday talking to the girls behind the poolbar. Dirty pool! Don't give your laundry to clean. Nobody wanted to search our lost t-shirt. When they found it (after argument) no sorry. Nothing! Awfull! Never again!

It7s nice to have a private port to take a boat for ilha grande. There's some staff who can communicate in English.
There's no spa in a hotel.

Curiosity got me
The fine view of Ilha Grande captivates at sunrise and sunset. The staff is friendly, and we rented a private boat. The spacious room featured a comfy bed. Breakfast was enjoyable, setting the perfect tone for our day. An idyllic escape awaits those who seek it!

The hotel was there at very short notice when I needed it! My meeting in Angra ran late and taking advice from a friend I decided not to drive back to Rio late at night. The hotel is good - nice room, reasonably good restaurant (had slightly overcooked filet mignon), internet working, nice garden/pool area (which I only saw in the dark), plenty of parking.
Nothing major. Check-in was a bit cumbersome - they did not have access to my booking (the woman who has access only works daytime?) and I am still slightly nervous that I might have paid twice since they made a new booking when I arrived and seemed a bit clueless - I have to check my bank account. The restaurant only had Skol beer, which I try to avoid - obviously a very small problem.

The location is amazing with beautiful views of the bay from the balcony. The pool area is fantastic and feels infinite! Breakfast was solid, except the coffee was super watery. The staff, especially Jorge at the pool bar, provided excellent service. The room had all the basics like air conditioning, a minibar, and a private bathroom.
